Shabbat + Bayit = Shabbayit!

Bayit is the Hebrew word for home, and with the Shabbayit initiative you're invited to spend time getting to know other folks from Temple B’nai Brith over home-hosted Shabbat meals.

We’re seeking hosts for the upcoming Shabbayit dinner on Friday, May 30. 

Hosts decide when dinner starts and let guests know if it’s a potluck and what kinds of foods would be welcomed. A host might choose to do vegetarian potluck at 6:30, another might do a backyard BBQ at 7:30, it's entirely up to you. There’s no expectation of kosher food or a particular type of Jewish ritual; how to celebrate Shabbat depends on the hosts and their guests. You may have room for 3 guests or 12, you decide what works for you.
