RSVP (below) encouraged - thanks for helping us plan in advance!
What’s a Melaveh Malka?
Translated as "Escorting the Queen," it’s a tradition to extend the glow of Shabbat just a little longer before transitioning into the week ahead. Think of it as a relaxed, musical, and meaningful
after-party for Shabbat!
We’ll begin seated around a big table, eating and singing some songs and niggunim (wordless melodies) together. All ages are welcome (there will be play space for kids). No Hebrew or musical background required; we will share some melodies in advance as we get closer.
We will then transition to a short Havdalah ritual to mark the close of Shabbat. Following Havdalah, we’ll sing a mix of Jewish songs and folk songs in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere.
